Your daughter is beautiful! And every time I see pictures of the old Sean, I seriously want to reach into the screen and give you a great BIG hug! I loved you before, still do and always will...and now I want some catfish:)

Happy Trails To You friend!Lisa Lovenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3126474537687051974.post-4806462850955372002011-02-02T15:55:38.854-06:002011-02-02T15:55:38.854-06:00Sean:

You had emailed me and given me some support when I needed it. I no longer have the blog up. After March or so I gave up. I lost a little weight over the months of 2010 but not enough to speak of. Well! In Late October, I was diagnosed with diabetes and that really whipped my ass into shape so to speak. Fear is quite a motivator! Since Oct 27th, I have lost 57 lbs by changing to a very low carb diet (no white flour or sugar). Anyway, just wanted to say your story has really helped me and I was so happy to see that you have reached your goal! Damn, you look awesome! But even more importantly I think -- you look really, really happy. Congratulations!shihtzumahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04578451536620944651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3126474537687051974.post-42983103216923501862011-02-02T15:37:13.879-06:002011-02-02T15:37:13.879-06:00mmm Texas Roadhouse! My 7 year old son calls the rolls the "cute bread".
I agree the fried catfish is amazing, and since I lived in Louisiana I have pretty high standards for that.Cathyhttp://42magicnumber.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3126474537687051974.post-57506268134049789022011-02-02T15:16:38.684-06:002011-02-02T15:16:38.684-06:00Yeah ... the magic pill solutions for any problem ...Yeah ... the magic pill solutions for any problem never work. They "why" is because, well ... when you look for a magic pill, you're not looking to solve the problem. You're looking to AVOID SOLVING THE PROBLEM.

And what problem DOESN'T get worse when you avoid solving it?

This is yo-yo dieting and every other back-and-forth that people go through born. People yo-yo diet and waffle back and forth on anything else because they are looking to avoid solving the problem. That's why there's no magic pill for weight loss and no magic way to learn to play an instrument or learn a language in your sleep or any of that junk. You just have to do the work.

That's why people are disappointed when you say you ate less and exercised. What people are asking is: Can I get out of the consequences of this problem without actually confronting and solving it?

No.

I've had people do the same thing to me when they see me playing piano and say, "Just show me where to put my fingers." Sorry, it don't work like that.Janisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3126474537687051974.post-54673054914401838782011-02-02T13:28:13.198-06:002011-02-02T13:28:13.198-06:00Nice to see an update from you Sean!! I know someone personally who was truly affected health-wise by using it. I realize both have their drawbacks, but I don't think you can automatically assume because something is "all natural", that it's necessarily better for you.

Love reading your posts!Clairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18198829558982903599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3126474537687051974.post-14526287002933161342011-02-02T08:36:30.515-06:002011-02-02T08:36:30.515-06:00Hey Sean, long time no see. I too remember getting started reading your blog from beginning and gaining inspiration that this way of losing weight, really does work! I have to tell you, my changes have been many over the past 6 plus months have been amazing. My body, my attitude, my perception of portions of food, and my fitness level.... and I know you will try to deflect this, but I do owe it in large part to you being brave enough to take your journey, and to put your story out there for all to see and be inspired by. Thank you my friend, from the bottom of my heart.Shane G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16220002629075223076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3126474537687051974.post-1784573438253343382011-02-02T00:53:17.806-06:002011-02-02T00:53:17.806-06:00Hey sean. However, weighing once a month works for me if i am truly keeping up on my exercise and my calorie counting. Your clothes will tell the tale, one way or the other.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13708815560712267698noreply@blogger.com
