Do you ever weigh your food or measure it once in awhile or are you just eyeballing everything. If you're positive about your cal. intake, maybe 1800/day is too much for you? Sounds like at 1800/day and with the spinning, jogging etc. you really should be losing more than 1/2 lb/week. Its a huge amount especially if you are gaining a bit of muscle as well you are just about at your goal weight I thought you wanted to be a motivator not a body builder or athlete anybody will tell you that if you average 30 mins a day of moderate excercise you will stay fit and healty If you have a couple of weight sessions a week to build muscle you are home and hoes. In fact, and I told you this the other day on the phone, you did EXACTLY what I was hoping you would do when I invited you to do this challenge. You ramped up your exercise. Overall, for the month, you're ahead of where you were before you agreed to the challenge in the exercise department. You started SPINNING classes for Heaven's sakes babe!!! YOU ROCK!!!! You received the very nice gift of a bike from friends and have been riding it around town. You did exactly what I was trying to inspire you to do by joining the challenge. It wasn't about the weight loss at all.....well it was to win a tacky souvenir, lol...I have to keep it fair for everyone else who participated....but between you and me, you accomplished the goal for this month and I'm very proud of you...busy schedule and all!!!<br /><br />One more thing....while I'm fussing at you...if I've told you once I've told you a 1,000 times. When you get close to your goal weight your losses will slow WAY DOWN. Chris just said she's losing around 5 lbs a month and she's close to goal. Aren't you only like 27 lbs away from YOURS???? YES!!!! Stop beating yourself up and remember what I tell you the next time!!! Just get back on track tomorrow"). You strike me as the type of person that can be too tough on himself, and you seem to have broke through the chains of self-pity. Don't depress yourself with your own tough love. Your four pound weight loss this month should show you that you're still on the right track. You lost...Number of people who live perfectly...0.<br /><br />You lost a pound.<br />I am retaining water.<br />I am sitting at 161 now for over a week.<br />it's annoying.<br />But, everytime I get to a 10 pound mark. First of all, yo...A couple things you said got me. First of all, you did not let me down. No how. Our agreement was to make a schedule and report back honestly...which you did.<br /><br />Second, and more important. You said you never missed a workout in the first 365 days. OK, so super. But there does come a time after you've done all the hard work and learned the lessons where you get to sometimes have an off week. You didn't go and eat your way through the week and then follow it all up with 18 ice cream cones. You had a busy week and couldn't exercise. That's life. Life gets in the way. <br /><br />You want to make sure that the majority of the time you're doing the right thing.<br /><br />That's what you (we)'ve worked so hard for. The ability and priviledge of living life as a normal weighted person. Most normal weighted people absolutely cannot fit 5 good workouts in every single week of life.
