July 24th, 2017 Main Focus

July 24th, 2017 Main Focus

Today: I maintained the integrity of my maintenance calorie budget, I remained refined sugar-free, I met my daily water goal, and I stayed well connected with good support and a lot of family!

Billie Sue's funeral was today. The most touching--heartbreaking moment, was Billie's daughters reading special messages to their mom. That was difficult to watch

Noah is spending the night at my place. After dinner, he really wanted to drive my car, so I propped him up on my lap and let him steer through the parking lot where I live. He'll never forget it! Oh boy--I may have started something. Uh oh. :)

My goodness, it's been a long day. There's so much more to write about tonight, but I'm out of steam. I'm letting the tweets take it the rest of the way. I used my backup food plan at lunch--you'll see the tweet if you scroll down. The main focus today wasn't on food. The main focus was on family and being supportive to one another through a difficult day.

Thank you for reading and your continued support,

  1. Forty years ago when laws were not so strict, I used to sit on my dad's lap and steer the car in the quiet streets near our house. I wouldn't have been able to reach the pedals at that age. I don't feel like he put me in any danger, he was right there probably with his hands on or hovering over the wheel, but I can understand why that would be illegal now.

  2. If your airbag goes off, it will be a tragedy, there have been several news reports on this topic. Once they were sitting reading books, waiting for a sibling, the car was in park/not even moving and someone else bumped into them in the parking lot. Really terrible.

  3. Hi, Sean. I've noticed that the GoFundMe project fir Billie Sue's funeral costs is not gaining steam. Perhaps a little more info on the page about Billie Sue...and maybe a different picture. One of her with her husband or family so that people get a sense of who she was.

If you're uncomfortable suggesting an edit to the page, perhaps you could do something here with photos? I bet you have some family pics with her . You have so many followers that if each gave just a few dollars the expenses would be met.

I feel badly that the fund is dragging.
