February 20th, 2019 Better Outcome

February 20th, 2019 Better Outcome

Yesterday was 4-star day: I maintained the integrity of my calorie budget, I remained refined sugar-free, I met my daily water goal, I personally prepared all my meals, and I stayed well connected with exceptional support.

We could not have asked for a better outcome from the testing mom underwent yesterday. It was such a relief to get the news. The issue that prompted the major concern and scare turned out to be caused by minor things that can be easily corrected. Thank you to everyone who added mom to their prayer list over the last couple days. I'll be headed to the hospital soon to pick her up and return her to the nursing home where her care will continue. Mom is naturally a nervous person and I must say, she was exceptionally worked up with uncertainty going into yesterday's procedure. It was nice to see her more relaxed, smiling, and relieved! Whenever the doc says, "there was an area of concern on the cat scan," it starts the mind racing with all kinds of stories.

I haven't slept well the past few nights. Even last night wasn't the best. I didn't get my exercise session in yesterday either. I must get three more sessions in by Saturday in order to hit my four-session goal for this week. I'll do it, I'm certain.

Yesterday was a really good food day. I even broke out of my normal routine for lunch and tried something new. (Included in Tweet below) It was fantastic! One of my food plan goals of late is getting a little more creative at lunch time. I never thought I'd say it, but I might be growing weary of lunch tostadas. They're good, I love 'em--but trying a few different things would be a positive thing. I keep plenty of variety at dinner time--but breakfast and lunch tend to be more routine.

I completed my morning foundation routine and I'm well into my Wednesday. I hope yours is a good one!
