Day 443 The Move Workout and Being A Winner

Day 443

The Move Workout and Being A Winner

Today was another extremely busy day, wow; we’re batting a thousand this week. I had a different attitude today. You know what they say, “it’s all in the attitude,” and that’s the truth. Gone were the extreme urges to turn to food for comfort under stress. I battled, fought, and clawed my way all day yesterday, and today those feelings have been replaced with a calm confidence. I credit you and this blog. Writing Monday’s edition of this blog was therapeutic for me. Receiving the incredible comments about yesterday’s post further strengthened me back into a solid state. Thank you my friend!

The challenge today was loading the moving truck and trailer with all the stuff I’m clearing out. Some will go to charity; most will go to the city landfill. Irene helped tremendously with this task. I didn’t realize what a workout it would become to move. Oh my, it’s a real workout! I did a bunch of bending, lifting, moving and stretching. That was my workout. I decided the circumstance of moving to a new address justified a missed workout at the trail or YMCA. (tomorrow I have another racquetball appointment---AND more moving!) I didn’t get home from work and after work errands until after 6pm and didn’t drop in bed until almost 1am. It was a busy day indeed.

But I’m winning. I’m winning this fight! Imagine that. After years of feeling like a giant loser, it turns out…I’m a WINNER, and a fighter, go figure…hmmm. Doesn’t sound like me really, but then again everything is different about me except my very core values and beliefs. My appearance, my attitude, my everything else has changed for the better. It's a new world, or perhaps the same world, just a different perspective.

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner from yet another fast food place: A grilled chicken wrap minus the sauce and some fruit and yogurt. Can you guess where that came from? Yep, McDonald's. It was the best choice I could have made at the time. I knew I didn’t want Subway again. And these McDonald’s choices were so good and surprisingly filling.

Thank you for reading. And thank you to a new reader who e-mailed me today. Brenda, I’ll be replying to your e-mail very soon. Your compliments about the blog made my day, they really did. I’m so happy for you my friend! You’re seriously on your way to an amazing place. I always dreamed of this place and now that I’m experiencing some of what it’s like here, I must tell you: It’s even better than I imagined. I feel terrific! You will too. I know you will. Goodnight and…

Good Choices,
Sean

  1. Great job on fighting through. I had a bad food day yesterday, not a bad calorie day...but I was able to hop right back up today. that is the major difference for me this time round.
    Keep up the good work.

  2. Welcome to your new home - I am sure you will settle in well there. And yes, shifting boxes and furniture is a great workout (have you ever seen an overweight removal man?).

Keep up the great exercise routine - I am sure your next weigh in will be much more to your liking!

  4. I'll bet you'll be glad to get back into your own kitchen, won't you? Just think, now all you have to do is repeat all that shifting and bending and lifting and you'll be settled.

  5. The workout you're getting with the move will pay off on the scale soon. And I hope you gave the calories a little bump...have fun playing racquetball! :)
