My schedule this evening took a turn after my weekly weight loss support group conference call. I was activated for on-air weather coverage just as I was about to walk out the door for the YMCA. I didn't get back home until almost midnight. It's late. I must drop in a few minutes!
I was shopping yesterday morning for a shirt or two. I wasn't shopping in the big and tall section! In fact, one of the extra large shirts could be considered too big. Okay--not could be, it is too big.
I'm behind on emails and comment replies. I take great care and pride in these two things. Please know, if you take the time to message me--it's important, and you'll be hearing back from me soon!
I must say, today was a little off. I didn't hit my water goal, I didn't exercise and I went over my calorie budget by 13 calories (not a big deal in the slightest).
I didn't hit a home run today. But I'm still in the game. I get another at-bat tomorrow.

Thank you for reading and your continued support,
Strength,
Sean
Yes Sean, that t-shirt is looking a little big on you. It's no wonder your tired during the day when you have the potential to be called back to work for hours after your workdays. Is it this weekend that Amber get's married?
ReplyDeleteIt's VERY hard for me to buy a large instead of an Extra Large. In the name of comfort and room, I always go with the slightly bigger--even when a size smaller would fit more perfectly.
DeleteYeah--the schedule gets nuts sometimes, for sure!
Yes---this weekend--Saturday the 30th!! :)
Well I wish you and your family a perfect day in every way and many many years of wedding bliss for Amber. Will look forward to seeing a picture or two. :)
Deletemost def the shirt has to be smaller. Although I'm one for comfort so two each his own. Pants? Yup, maybe a bit more tailored in the leg, you are so tiny!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and your dinner looks very good!
I hope the weather starts to settle down for you guys!
Rosie :)
Awe, thank you, Rosie! That dinner--oh my...LOVED IT!!
DeleteI hope the weather gets calm and stays calm, real soon...say, by Saturday the 30th! :)
I re-read my post.... Meant you are so tiny in a good way! I think it sounded rude when I re read it! :) Rosie
ReplyDeleteI didn't take it any other way but positive, Rosie. You're the best!
DeleteWhoa, baby! You're looking pretty thin there. No wonder people are commenting! I'm thinking goal weight is about where you are? good job! You really are the one blogger that continually shows me that it can be done. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deb. I'm really close--although I hesitate to pick a number. Maintenance mode is mere weeks away, I believe. It'll look and feel remarkably similar to what I'm doing now. A little more food-- some good snacks perhaps...and increased workouts and weight training... who knows how my body will respond? I'm looking forward to finding out!
DeleteI sincerely appreciate those kind words, Deb.
I give what I'm doing the kind of importance level and reverence an addict or alcoholic in successful recovery, gives their sobriety. I practice many of the same recovery principles along the way.
I didn't always apply this...obviously--and we both know how that turned... I'm blessed and very grateful for the second, third and fourth chances I've been given!
You're welcome. And thank you for your tremendous support along the way.
As long as we remember there is a new at-bat every single day, we can make it through, can't we?
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, Rachel! We get new at bats each day. And another important thing to remember: We're not always going to hit home runs. Babe Ruth is known for his home run hitting. A lesser known fact is: He led the majors in strikeouts for five seasons of his career. #truestory ;)
DeleteI admire your ability to adapt you daily plan depending on what comes up - I'm sure you'll be happy when the weather settles down and stops interfering with the schedule!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Emma, yes indeed! It'll settle down very soon--it always does come June...then it'll get sunny and hot and I'll be wishing the rain would return to cool things down!
DeleteIf I didn't adapt on the fly, sometimes--and allow myself to be okay with the decisions required---I wouldn't get very far with this sometimes crazy schedule!!
Sean, you are looking great! In the picture where you are weighing the avocado, you look thin. Your consistent determination has paid off.
ReplyDeleteThank you, LTR! I feel fantastic, for sure!
DeleteWe WILL get back on that horse. :) I have a rough time staying on plan with bronchitis. I won't weigh in, but I will keep my food healthy broth and unlimited cooked vegetables. I eat constantly when I have a cold or bronchitis. I guess I'll catch up later. I am hard-wired to eat when I am sick.
ReplyDeleteMegan in Texas
Megan, that's understandable--and excellent choices! I hope you get well very soon! And then, get ready to feel incredible again!! :)
DeleteLooking good Sean! Wish your daughter and all of you a perfect day this Saturday. Will be anxious see pictures. Question: How did you get those 2 pictures taken from so far away?
