July 10th, 2019 Try And Try Again
Yesterday was a 4-star day: I maintained the integrity of my calorie budget, I remained refined sugar-free, I exceeded my daily water goal, and I stayed well connected with exceptional support.
I had a difficult time falling asleep last night. It certainly affected my day. I'm not thrilled to report I didn't meet my challenge for today. By the time I left work, I was seriously exhausted. I realize when I set challenges, I must always consider the actions I do prior in support of those challenges. I've recovered from that fairly well with a short nap, an early dinner, some good group support calls, and a plan for a better night's rest. I'm forwarding the challenge--which is a good one, to tomorrow. Trial and error--try and try again with different approaches and perspectives...I mean, truly, it's what this whole experience is all about.
I've exceeded my water intake goal for the second day in a row today. Usually, that happens when I'm dining out. But no dining out today, so what made the difference? I kept a water bottle with me at all times--and refilled it a couple of times throughout the day. Free bottled water is an underrated perk at the studio!
I baked extra salmon the other night and used it for dinner tonight. It was basically a replica dinner from a couple nights ago. It was good. I love salmon!
It's really strange, though. My tastes have evolved over the last ten years in interesting ways. Salmon, asparagus, sweet potato, and believe it or not, avocados--all things regularly appearing in my food plan, were all on my "Don't Like" list of foods when I first started this experience. Now, they're some of my favorite things. The important thing is, it wasn't forced, ever. It was a natural evolution. It continues to be a natural evolution.
Thank you for reading and your continued support,
Practice, peace, and calm,
Sean

Joined WW on 1/31 and discovered that I too like salmon. It’s 0 points on WW, but always thought I hated it. Now if it was just a little cheaper!! Oh... And I’m only 17 lbs from goal weight YET AGAIN.
