Today: I maintained the integrity of my maintenance calorie budget, I remained refined sugar-free, I exceeded my daily water goal, and I stayed well connected with great support.
Tuesday is usually my most involved day of the week. Today lived up to that reputation! I don't mind doing weather coverage--I mean, it's simply a part of what I do for a living--but Tuesday late night/early Wednesday morning?? Come on Mother Nature--pick another night!
Hopefully storms dissipate before they arrive, otherwise, instead of the bed, I'll be headed to the studio.
After a busy day, I took a break from the kitchen. I treated myself to a nice meal out. "My guy" at the restaurant a block from my apartment knows me--and he knows how and why I order the way I order. And he was gone tonight!!
But it was okay--I explained my order-- baked cod--no bread crumbs, no butter (that's how they normally prepare it)--simply baked with salt and pepper, asparagus, grilled well, and a plain ("smallest you have in the kitchen") baked potato with two tablespoons sour cream. It came out as if "my guy" was back there! I'm a big believer in asking for what you want and need--specifically, politely and with a smile. I've discovered people naturally want to help. Only once or twice in the last few years have I had a less than helpful experience.
Okay--I'm either going to luck out and get some sleep-- or go to work... I'm spinning the wheel...come on decreasing intensity!! Dissipate, dissipate, dissipate!!!

Thank you for reading and your continued support,
Strength,
Sean
You eat corn, in some form, almost every day. Corn = sugar, and you are eating it in a refined (unhealthy) form. Have you considered that corn is your body's new addiction (where is gets its sugar fix)? I am fairly sure you would be unable to cope for a month with no corn. Think about it.
ReplyDeleteI just reviewed your food and I don't see corn anywhere?!?
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile I just waned to pop in and say "GREAT PODCAST"!!! Yeah!
Maybe the tostada shells? Obviously the food plan is working though, and that's a pretty tiny amount of corn all in all!
