January 25th, 2020 Blessing To Me

January 25th, 2020 Blessing To Me

Since our last edition, I've maintained the integrity of my food plan boundaries, I've remained refined sugar-free, I've met or exceeded my daily water goal, and I've stayed well connected with exceptional support.

Mom didn't have the best day yesterday. I went ahead and worked my morning show before visiting her. She was agitated, confused, scared, and uncertain of what exactly has happened and what's going on. She didn't feel like eating as she sat with this constantly concerned look on her face. Getting her to smile was a challenge. I can't say I was successful in my attempts early in the day, but last evening was a little bit better. As far as her progress goes, the staff of the critical care unit is doing all of the things for her best care and recovery. These things are steady, stabilized, and improving. I'm grateful.

I had a fantastic conversation with a good friend of mine last night. He shared his experience with his mom and everything he shared was truly a blessing to me. That conversation along with the numerous texts and calls of support has been such a big blessing for me.

My morning foundational routine was a powerful one this morning. I'm about to prepare a meal before heading up to mom's room for a visit. I have a location broadcast this afternoon from a car dealership forty-five miles away. I'm looking forward to a good Saturday! I hope yours is a good one, too!

I've been a few measures more diligent in my daily practice of late. Yesterday, as I was trying to feed mom her lunch (she normally feeds herself but she's super shaky right now and it's a challenge for her), I had a compulsive thought about the food in front of me. Mom wasn't having it--and it looked so good. In the swirl of emotions and uncertainty in that moment, for just a moment (thank God), her food looked like a solution for me. I'm grateful for the neutrality I regularly experience--each day of that isn't a given, it's a gift worthy of immense gratitude. Feeling that pull away from neutrality, even for a moment, reminded me of the power in my truth. I'm grateful when I don't have those thoughts--but I'm also grateful for what it gave me at that moment-- a reminder to take care of things and do the actions that help keep me well. Sharing that experience with a couple of trusted support friends via phone wrapped it nicely for me.

For someone who truly isn't a food addict, that experience might seem small and insignificant. Trust me, for me, it isn't.

I do a lot of work with many different people helping them identify and create their personal plan practices. Many of them do not identify as a food addict at all and some do. Regardless, the structure created in a personal plan practice designed for long-term sustainability is one that breaks away from the diet mentality merry-go-round, embracing perspectives and practices that, for many, becomes game-changers for their positive progress. The next 8-week session of the group coaching/mentoring support group I facilitate starts on Wednesday of next week. We do have space available on our team. If you're interested in finding out more, simply email me soon for details: transformation.road@gmail.com

I also have space for one additional one on one client. I can give you details on that plan as well if you're interested.

A few testimonials:
I have followed Sean’s transformation since the beginning. I read his blog, his book, and followed him on social media. His words made sense and I found myself wanting what he had. Still, I struggled with making change a priority, until one day I had a realization that in order to change I needed to make myself a priority.

If you had told me that I would lose 30 pounds in 3 months I would have paid any amount of money you asked. Now, here I am after 3 months of one on one coaching and I have gained so much more that is priceless to me. My family, friends, and coworkers are noticing my weight loss, but also commenting on my increased positivity and overall happiness. It’s true! I have more energy, I’m sleeping better, and I’m practicing an attitude of gratitude which has made every day more beautiful.

With Sean’s constant encouragement, structured mentoring, and accountability measures I have developed an individualized plan that works for me. As a result, I have achieved lifelong sustainable goals in the area of sleep, water intake, physical activity and meal logging that I thought were impossible.

Deciding to bet on myself has paid off for me and my family. Just last week my husband told me that he was glad I signed up with Sean. He admitted he had been skeptical at first, but now he is a believer.

Sean’s enthusiasm and commitment to his client’s well-being is contagious. He is earnest, caring, non-judgmental and a tremendous source of knowledge. I love the fact that I can call or text him with a scenario and he has multiple suggestions on how to handle it. I honestly feel like I have my own personal cheerleader in my pocket at all times.

I’m so thankful I have begun this lifelong journey and if you have been considering a making change in your life I cannot recommend Sean highly enough.

Finding Sean Anderson and his Transformation group is one of the best tools I use to support my own transformation journey! Sean's attentive, nurturing leadership sets the tone of the group.  I find acceptance, care, and concern even at times when I struggle to accept myself.  This experience is much more than losing weight; it is about creating a life plan - one that is well-rounded, holistic that supports my physical changes.  Sean is definitely not a drill sergeant barking out orders, but a gentle, kind soul who listens, encourages, supports, and yet, suggests challenging questions to allow me to dig deeper and develop the life plan that specifically works for me. And, because Sean does his own personal discovery work, he understands the good, the bad, and the ugly of losing weight and maintaining health and wellness and openly shares it, not as the expert, but as another traveler on this journey.  The group is a small, intimate group of people on their own journeys and yet we come together virtually on a group page, and in weekly coaching calls to support and encourage one another and to have a place for celebration, idea sharing, and accountability. I am extremely grateful to have found a group that understands my challenges and accepts me where I am."--Deb

Being part of Sean’s weight loss group has given me focus, accountability, and support on my weight loss journey.

A little background about myself. I grew up an overweight child, teenager, and adult. I have literally been put on diets since I was in elementary school. I should be a nutritionist based on a background of diets. It took the tragic loss of my husband to make me realize that we are not promised to live another day. At 425+, I  was playing Russian Roulette while thinking and wishing that I could find the perfect diet and be the person I knew that I was.

People judge you from the outside and I grew up trying to cope with the staring eyes at restaurants and the looks of disappointment and judgment. I quickly learned to use humor and music to force people to look into me instead of at me. My goal was to ignore my weight and talk to people first and not to allow them to focus on my weight but to focus on me. I spend my adult years taking care of my dear ones but never taking the time to focus on myself.

I had followed Sean’s blog and had heard about his group and finally decided that now was the time to start my final weight loss journey. Does he have a magical cure? No. But he has helped me realize how I now see weight loss and my own future. I enjoy that everyone in the group has their own plan and are at different places on their path. But, we all support each other and share our life’s struggles. We have bonded through mutual experience and inspire each other daily. I have lost a total of 111 lbs and have 150 more to go. I hope you will join us and share your journey. You never know who you will inspire.-Susan

Have you struggled losing weight? Are you tired of losing and gaining the same weight over and over? I know I was. I have been a member of Sean's weight loss support group for some time now and find that the support and accountability you receive from Sean and his group are invaluable to your journey to a healthy new you. As a man, I was stubborn and thought I could do this on my own. Well, I will tell you that this might just be the missing piece of that puzzle you've been working on for a long time. Sean truly cares about every single person in his group and will go the extra mile to help you succeed. The calls, coupled with the private Facebook page are one of the best investments you could ever make in yourself. Especially you guys, just do it and see what a difference it makes. I know it did for me. Personally, it all started for me with Sean's group, which was a stepping stone to more local groups and extended therapy. I learned more from others than I ever would have on my own. And I'm not too proud to say now that I couldn't have done this by myself. And it all started with one of Sean's support groups. I have currently lost over 200 lbs and I can assure you that without support and accountability, I would never have reached this point in my own journey. That I am sure of. Thanks, Sean for all your support during my own health journey.--M.F.

I have been part of Sean's group for over 3 years. Not only was the group instrumental for me to be able to lose my last 30 lbs, but it has been very important in helping me maintain an approximately 80 lb weight loss for almost 2 years. Not only do you get Sean's inspirational leadership and experience and generosity of spirit, but you also get a group of wonderful, supportive teammates who will be there for you. We all follow our own plans, but the group is more about dealing with all the other things that get in the way of a healthy weight. In the end, what you eat is not as important as being able to deal with feelings and situations without turning to food. This group will help you with that. It was the missing piece for me. Recommend highly!!!!--D.A.

I highly recommend Sean's groups if you struggle with consistency in your healthy body goals. As an old (and I do mean old!) partner with Sean, I've seen firsthand the transformation that comes from working with him and his team.-Gerri Helms, Retired Life Coach

Oh my goodness, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude when I read those. Amazing people. Thank you.

Have a lovely Saturday!

Do you own an "I'm Choosing Change" wristband? I wear mine daily as a constant reminder of why my daily practice of things is important. I'm not alone, either. This powerful message is worn on the wrists of people in a dozen states, maybe more, I haven't counted--but it's up there!! From New York to California and from Canada all the way to Scotland, they're out there! For me, it's simply a daily reminder to be open, willing, mindful, to pause, and to be intentional. If I'm not those things, I get stuck at the line of least resistance and back there is where the old patterns and behaviors thrive. Your order includes priority shipping so you'll get it quickly! Here's the link to order yours right now: https://imchoosingchange.com/product/wristband/
