Since our last visit, I've maintained the integrity of my calorie budget, I've remained refined sugar-free, I've met my daily water goal, I completed an awesome workout at the Recplex, and I've stayed well connected with exceptional support.
The weekend was so good, I really didn't want it to end. But all good things must, right? I punctuated the day with a good workout in the cardio area of the RecPlex. The workout followed by a short visit with mom was a good way to end the day.
Today was somewhat stressful, but I handled it well with some calming meditation this afternoon and a good nap. These intentional actions, for today, replaced what I once used food to do. The difference is how the calming meditation and restful nap actually helped where excess food never could. Besides, I had a couple of delicious dinner options waiting for me later. I made an exceptional dinner tonight--very satisfying!
I've opted to stay off the roads with my one headlight tonight. I'm two written warnings in this thing--I don't think you get a third. If I can successfully make it to the studio in the morning, the plan is to get it repaired in the light of day. It's not simple like in the "olden" days. I digress, is "olden" a word? Anyway, I can remember going to the auto parts store, buying a replacement bulb and actually replacing it myself!! That might not sound like a major thing, but for those who know me well--that's kind of a big deal. Maybe a shade-tree mechanic could replace this one--but definitely not me. It requires tools. I'm pretty certain, special tools. I don't own regular tools, let alone special tools. If only I could change out that low-beam with a butter knife, I'd be in business.
I plan on a nice neighborhood walk while jamming to 80's pop before bed. That'll be a good end to this Manic Monday. See what I did there? Have a good night!
