February 13th, 2020 In A Good Place

February 13th, 2020 In A Good Place

Since our last edition, I've maintained the integrity of my food plan boundaries, I've remained refined sugar-free, I've met or exceeded my daily water goal, and I've stayed well connected with exceptional support.

Mom and I attended her care plan meeting yesterday morning. It was a good meeting and it certainly seems that everyone is on the same page. Right now, the visual checks at night to make sure she's firmly on the CPAP are critically important. Her clarity each day seems to be a direct reflection of her night before. The more frequent checks--and mom staying on the CPAP with oxygen has given her two good days in a row. I call each morning to check on how she did overnight and when that report is a good one, mom is always in much better shape when I arrive later in the day. She was blessed with quite a bit of clarity this evening. We shared a good visit.

The good news is it certainly looks like this isn't a dementia situation. The doctor at the hospital talked about clearing these other factors first before dementia could be accurately assessed--and it seems we're at that point. She doesn't have a UTI or Digoxin toxicity anymore, so the only thing left is the fluctuating levels of Co2 buildup in her lungs. If that is managed, she seems to be in a good place.

I'm doing okay. My sleep hasn't been the best lately but I'm acknowledging what I can do to help improve that--and I'm doing. Less coffee and less nap time are the most obvious things I can change. Doing those things.

Do you own an "I'm Choosing Change" wristband? I wear mine daily as a constant reminder of why my daily practice of things is important. For me, it's simply a daily reminder to be open, willing, mindful, to pause, and to be intentional. If I'm not those things, I get stuck at the line of least resistance and back there is where the old patterns and behaviors thrive. Your order includes priority shipping so you'll get it quickly! Here's the link to order yours right now: https://imchoosingchange.com/product/wristband/
