I started feeling sick last night. I decided it was just a cold and made my way to work this morning. I sounded noticeably affected on the air, but it wasn't too bad. It started changing mid-morning with nausea and a feverish feeling. I left work early, still convinced this was just a bad cold, and it might be just that-- I suppose.
I kept my food up and it's all stayed down, so that's a good thing. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning at 10am.
The pillow is calling. I think more rest is in order and hopefully tomorrow's doc visit will provide a prescription of some sort to help speed things along.

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and am really enjoying your food pictures! I love seeing new and different ideas for meals! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteSean...take good care of yourself! I can't remember which the old adage goes...but starve the cold and/or fever! Feel better!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better Sean!
ReplyDeleteIf I feel a sniffle coming on, I take zinc and vitamin C and I swear by Echinacea (not all studies say it helps but I've been using it for 25 years). There are no prescription meds that help unless it's the flu and you can get some Tamiflu- I just get a preventative flu shot every September myself. My prescription for you would be more sleep!I have a feeling you were the same way when you were a kid though- a night owl- so it's doubtful you will change. Take it easy and if it's just a cold, they rarely last over a week. A netti pot can be helpful too if you are stuffed up. PS water but you already drink a lot of it.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me you've had these health setbacks since you have had Noah around. You spent time with Noah again. Those little guys carry germs from daycare etc - which is why the adults end up getting sick after school starts. Airborne was invented by a teacher for other teachers to take to help prevent getting sick from the kids. Just a thought, but when you are going to spend time with Noah, and then again after you have spent time with him, perhaps adding Airborne to your water might help.
