Yesterday was a 4-star day: I maintained the integrity of my calorie budget, I remained refined sugar-free, I met my daily water goal, and I stayed well connected with exceptional support.
It was a full Noah weekend! His special birthday weekend capped with shoe shopping yesterday afternoon. He got a special pair of shoes (the kind that makes you run faster), some socks, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle t-shirt that was clearance priced, how could I say no? That kid has his PoPo wrapped around his finger. He's so much fun. He rode an escalator for the first time and he was so excited about it. Reminded me of me at that age. The escalators were the best part of the mall.
Noah wanted pizza after shopping, so he enjoyed that while I did a couple Chipotle crispy chicken tacos with grilled peppers and onions and sour cream, no cheese, and a 4oz side of guac with a 1oz kids size chips. "You don't like pizza?" "No, I do, but not today!" He's asking more questions these days! I didn't feel it appropriate to explain my food plan boundaries to a six-year-old. I didn't make a big deal of it and neither did he. It was perfect. And so was our time together.
Fast forward to today, and it's been a good one so far. Work went well. I voiced the beginning narrator part for Beauty and The Beast--so that was fun! I plan on taking Noah to see this stage production when it opens this weekend. I've told him that he'll hear PoPo in it--and I'll tell him once again before the show in hopes he won't yell out, "PoPo, that's you!"
I had a goal of an early, prepared at home dinner--and I just finished the meal. I have a little writing to do before a trip to see mom and a good workout this evening in the RecPlex cardio area.
Thank you for reading and your continued support,
