January 22nd, 2017 Worse

January 22nd, 2017 Worse

I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow. Yesterday was better. Much better. Today was worse. Much worse.

This stuff is kicking me pretty hard today. I've limped along with food. I'll end the day over 600 calories under budget. And that's okay.

I remained refined sugar-free, of course--and I had a few good contacts with support.

Headed back to bed.

Thank you for reading and your continued support,
Strength,
Sean

  2. Hey. Last year, my husband and I and several friends all had the flu--and we ALL had the experience of feeling like we were over the worst part and getting better only to suddenly find ourselves in an "I'm not sure I can get out of bed" sick", again.

We didn't find out until afterwards that most everyone had the same experience, so it was disconcerting at the time.

I don't think any of us went to the MD, tho. Maybe he'll have an explanation for you. Would be nice if he could fix it for you...we all lingered in the "dying-better--dying" limbo for a couple of weeks. Seriously, a couple of weeks. The cough lasted longer.

Hmmm. This is not as hopeful sounding as I had planned. :} Bottom line: Your flu experience sounds normal to me and you'll be fine.

    1. The doc wasn't able to add anything. I literally paid a copay to hear, "well-- hang in there, it'll pass. Take OTC meds, plenty of fluids--and let it run its course." I should have stayed home and saved my money.

  4. Unfortunately I have to concur with Deb - the flu is pretty rough and it takes awhile to get over it. And TamiFlu doesn't help cure the flu, it just helps shorten its duration. Hope you're feeling better soon! -Beth in Chicago
