Eight years ago, tonight, all of this started with Day 1.
Today marks the 8th Anniversary of this blog!
This entire experience has exceeded anything I could have imagined on the night of September 15th, 2008.
I'm blessed. I'm grateful. I've been humbled--I remain humble. I've learned a lot. I still have a lot to learn.
Today: I maintained the integrity of my maintenance calorie budget. I remained abstinent from refined sugar. I stayed connected with solid support contacts and I exceeded my daily water goal.
I navigated a jam-packed day and did great right up to the point of riding the new "Freak Out" ride as an on-air LIVE stunt during my location broadcast this evening. Google Freak Out Ride--and you'll find a video of this monsterous thing.
The ride rendered me physically ill. I know better than to attempt something like that without motion sickness medication. I made it through my last break--then home, and straight to bed for an hour and a half. It was absolutely necessary. I woke feeling better-- I prepared a great dinner...and although I expected to be at work by now for weather coverage, I'm not--and the storms are holding off...so I'll go back to bed.
I'd be up for three more hours if I tapped into my heart and shared with you the intimate details of just how special this blog is to me. I can't do that tonight, but I certainly hope to write more this weekend, when I have more time to elaborate.
In the meantime, I'm sharing some random photos from the last eight years.
Thank you for reading this thing. You've given me the gift of your time and support with every entry you read.
